I got my frame powder coated and needed to remove the VIN plate. I drilled out the rivets successfully but when I was trying to reapply the rivets after powder coating, the thin aluminum vin plate sheared off at the holes. This prompted me to start looking for a replacement VIN plate. After some searching on the boards here I came across the site:4.8 out of 5 stars. I don't know the laws in Turkey, but here in the USA, anybody in the same position as the OP should be aware that reattaching a VIN tag that has been removed for any reason is committing a felony. My 64 Malibu SS had standard rivets and MVD impounded the car, removed the VIN and assigned a state issued VIN that killed the value of the car. Gently remove the paint from the vin tag (Do NOT put in a sand blaster of any kind!) paint with SEMS flat black, install ink transfer and put away to dry.
