It features a cast-iron block and cylinder head, overhead camshaft, and a carburetor fuel system. The 22R engine produces around 96 horsepower and 129 lb-ft of torque. Now with the valve cover free of any nuts, you should be able to gently pry up and remove. The stock CR on a 22RE is only 9:1 IIRC and depending on just how much boost you want to run, the propane should be good for a significant amount of boost with the stock CR.
