Lubricating them usually quietens them down but keeping the lube on them is the tough part. Give them a good spray with a light oil and see if they go quiet for a short period of time.Atf will work, in 1936 Ford put fittings on the centerbolt for spring lube, the spec for spring lube was somethiimg like 77% ice machine oil, the balance talc with a touch of ground asbestos, ice machine oil is about the weight of ATF, talc is a dry lube/ polishing media used in some slip plate products.Remember that leaf springs, by design, provide not only the "spring" but also somewhat of a shock absorber effect due to friction between the spring faces. Install thrust washers, king pin tubes, spindles, washers and bolts. Tighten new lock nuts to 56 - 70 ft. lbs. (75 - 95 Nm) torque. Check that spindle turns freely on king pin tube after tightening.
