I looked at several options for rear tire mount including a hinge mount and door mount but opted for this receiver mount to avoid stress on rear doors.The hitchgate solo high clearance rides a good 2 feet from the back of my 2001 suburban. From the side is looks a little out of place. I do believe that adding dual rotopacks will tighten up the look form the side. Overall from the back it looks tough. Well made and good construction.
