It was suggested I get the "Special Teflon Grease" for the spline on the forward end of the driveshaft. I have Motul Tech Grease 300. "High performance multi-purpose grease.Short straight fitting. Remove shaft. Drill out the drive in flush fitting. Die grind about 1/4 inch off the inside of the yoke until you have room to tap the hole and install the new fitting using a 1/4 inch drive socket. This allows all the clearance needed at full deflection.Used a grease needle nozzle on grease gun. Rotated drive shaft around until zerk was in position and stuck the needle nozzle in the end of the zerk and pumped away! Last year I used a regular push on tip and thought I was going to have to leave it there. Finally was able to get it to let loose after much pulling twisting and swearing.Re: Grease for drive shaft spline? Anti-seize is preferable but grease will do.
