There's nothing like riding a motorcycle. Anchorage drivers are insane so be safe and have fun. I had a motorcycle for one summer a few years ago but didn't get to ride it much because it didn't run too well.A lot of Anchorage's homeless population comes from towns were they aren't allowed to posses alcohol, and because the native population has a pre-deposition for alcohol dependency a lot of there addictions make the believe it's better to be homeless where you can consume the have a home where you must remain sober. Fairbanks for winter winter, proper summers, accesibility to rural alaska, the brooks range, alaska range, loads more hunting in the interior, lots of freshwater fishing.Alaska Club is expensive, but it's the best "all around" type gym and great for families. Multiple locations are nice. But if you don't need a pool, there are better options. Alaska Rock Gym is excellent for climbing and lifting, plus I think they have yoga classes. Anchorage Yoga is good for hot yoga but it's so expensive.Winter is about $100 gas, $75-$100 electric (holidays). Thermostat kept 68-72. Summer gas is about $30, electric $65-$75. My gas and electric bills in cold months are around $600 combined.
