I have only run tires on my Jeeps that were 12.5" wide up until my recent Unlimited Rubicon. I started out with the stock tires, wheeled on them just little, they did great. Then I moved up to 255/85R16 Trxus MT's which were about 33" tall and 10.5" wide.You can run a tire up to 4" wider than your wheel with no ill effects on the road. I daily drove my other truck for years on 33s & 35s on 15*8s, only switched to the 10s to get the tires off the radius arms.
